Shipping Related
1. Does shipping charge cover tracking number and insurance?
Shipping charge includes tracking number (all orders) and insurance (orders over
$150 only). If the order is damaged or lost during transit, you will need to use
the tracking number provided by us and contact your local post system for
reimbursement. Echigoya Honpo is not responsible for goods delivered to the
wrong address due to address or EMS errors.
2. How long does it take for my order to arrive?
You should generally receive your order within a 7-12 day period. An email will
be sent to you when the order is shipped along with a tracking number. You may
track your order at http://www.canadapost.com
or http://www.post.japanpost.jp/english/tracking/index.html.
Delivery is to be shipped by air and to be delivered to your Local Pick Station. Time of
delivery is EMS: 5~7 days on average worldwide. Our recommendation
is to use EMS as they are cost efficient, fast, and reliable.
3. What should I do if my package is stolen/lost/damaged?
Echigoya Honpo cannot be held responsible for unexpected incidents that occur
after the order is shipped. If your order is stolen, lost, or damaged during
freight, please use the tracking number (which contains insurance information)
we supplied and contact the shipping carrier for reimbursement.
Shipping/Packaging information for insurance claim purposes will also be
provided upon request.
4. How is my shipping charge calculated?
Cost of shipping is based on your order's total weight. To see the total cost of
your order including shipping, please add the product(s) onto your shopping cart
and proceed to the checkout page. You will see the total cost including
shipping. The minimum shipping charge is $10 (through EMS Speedpost via Air. At
Echigoya Honpo, there is no handling fee.
5. Why is my order delayed?
There are couple reasons might cause delay. Stock ability, Holidays, High
traffic of PO processing and payment
delay. We do not responsible for these delay reasons. We might not be able to process your order if we don't have the product(s)
in Stock. Customer will be noticed by E-mail before hand and get full refund.
Post Office of Japan doesn't work during Weekends. We will process your order
only if we have your 30% deposit or Full Payment cleared.
6. About Custom Charges
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment
reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by
you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country and you should contact your
local customs office or check their website for more information. Additionally,
when ordering from Echigoya-Honpo.com, you are considered the importer of record
and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are
receiving the goods. Your privacy is important to us, and we know that you
care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like
our international customers and to be aware that cross-border shipments are
subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Also, we may provide certain order, shipment and product information, such as
titles, to our international carriers and such information may be communicated
by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance
and comply with local laws.

1. What payment methods are accepted?
We accept MasterCard, VISA, and American Express via Paypal payment service. We
also accept Cash and PayPal

2. Can I pay Cash ?
Yes, We accept Cash payment. Customers who live in Vancouver and L.A. Cities are
able to do Cash Payment. 30% deposit is required before we ship out your order
from Japan.
3. Are my transactions at Echigoya Honpo secured?
Shopping at Echigoya Honpo is completely safe. Our servers use Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL), an advanced encryption technology that works with Netscape
Navigator (versions 2.0 and above), Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 3.0 and
above), and AOL (AOL 3.0 and above). This technology safeguards your personal
information and guarantees privacy. In fact, all of our webpages that may
involve your entering of private information utilize SSL.

1. Why doesn't Echigoya Honpo maintain a warehouse in the North America?
Echigoya Honpo is a International electronics shop with an "import" touch. We
are the liaison between you and all those cool audio gadgets from Japan. In
fact, you will usually pay less shopping for rare goodies this way. Let's face
it, most of the electronic products sold Worldwide. When you buy from a local store (including those domestic Retailers), keep
in mind that you are paying transportation fee, import tax, retailer's cost to
maintain a warehouse, staff, utility, rent, and everything else! By eliminating
an active warehouse in the each Cities, we save money sending the products you want
directly from our suppliers. With a reduction in cost, we can offer you lower
prices and better deals. We also specialize in sending orders to Europe,
Australia, North America, and Asia.
2. Can I order over the phone?
Unfortunately all orders must be placed via our website at
www.echigoya-honpo.com. At this time, we apologize that we cannot offer you
assistance over the phone. However, we will try our best to answer any questions
you may have over email (emails are generally answered within 24-48 hours or
less.)
3. What is the warranty guarantee for my purchase?
All of our products carry a 1 year Japanese warranty unless stated otherwise. To
have your Electronics equipment serviced free using manufacturer's warranty you
will need to send the product, along with its warranty card, back to us.
Shipping Fee TO Echigoya Honpo will be covered by customer. Please email us
before you send your unit for repair/exchange.
4. What is your return policy?
All Sales are Final
Echigoya Honpo sells rare Japanese products and ships directly from our
warehouse in Tokyo, Osaka Cities of Japan. We do not sell used or refurbished
items and therefore we cannot accept non-defective product returns.
7-day Return Policy on all Electronics (related accessory
sales excluded).
Item must be in its original packaging with all accessories, manual, warranty
card included. All items incur a 15% restocking fee and $5 processing fee.
Customer is responsible for the shipping cost of sending the item back to our
warehouse in Tokyo, Osaka Cities of Japan. Refund will consist of unit price
only, shipping costs will not be refunded. Customer must
contact us with the
request to return and notify us the precise condition of the item being returned
before we issue a RMA for the return. Returns that do not meet the above
conditions may be refused or disregarded. Unauthorized returns may be refused or
disregarded.
5. Order Cancellation
All orders can be cancelled and refunded without penalty if the order has not
been processed or shipped. Please contact us ASAP if
you would like to cancel your order (we usually ship out your order in about 5-7 days).

All the products are shipped from Tokyo, Osaka Cities of Japan.
2. Are products carried by Echigoya Honpo Japanese models? Will I
be able to operate them?
All of the products we carried are Japanese domestic models, Japanese products
made specifically for Japan, unless stated otherwise. While some of our products
such as headphones and earphones are fairly intuitive (plug and play) to use,
Most of our Japanese electronic products operate through Japanese interface
(some with English operation manuals). Products that requires AC electricity
should be used with a proper transformer suitable to the local electric power in
order to work correctly.
3. What kind of service does Echigoya Honpo provide for Cell phones ?
Where can I get this service ?
Echigoya Honpo offers Sim unlocking, Firmware updating, and Changing firmware
language. Customers can get this service at our Vancouver Pick Up
Office.
